Joram Roukes – iphone case

I got my Cast•Mate iPhone 4 “Barely There” Custom Case in the mail today.
Case•Mate makes it super easy to upload photos or designs and I was pleasantly surprised with the fantastic print quality.

For my case I uploaded a Joram Roukes oil painting ↓

and then about 5 days later I received this ↓

and a side note… I love my iphone 4!
I took the pic above with the camera on my phone. The camera quality and video capabilities alone are worth the upgrade or purchase.

SOTW: Diamond Rings “It’s Not My Party”

Let Me In

Why oh why does American cinema keep remaking good movies?!?!
Just take the original, and remove all subtlety.
First off for some reason they just removed the father completely.
Next did we really need to see the photo strip ↓

and why didn’t they show the castration?
They definitely pulled out the masculine features from Abby/Eli’s face.
What was the point of starting the movie off with the hospital scene?

Let the Right One In ↓

Let Me In ↓

There was absolutely no point in remaking this movie! Especially since it didn’t live up to the first.

2 New Tracks

Explosions In The Sky released this single “Trembling Hands” from their upcoming album.

Explosions In The Sky – Trembling Hands by Bella Union

Fever Ray just released “The Wolf” for the new film Red Riding Hood. I had my doubts about this movie… but with Gary Oldman and now this song… I’m thinking it might not be that bad.

Fever Ray – The Wolf by AndrewDiego

Gil Scott-Heron, Jamie xx – I’ll Take Care Of U

This miniature doc is a great format for music videos. I just wished they pushed it a bit further and constructed more of a narrative.

Another one for April

Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All‘s Tyler the Creator is coming out with a new album “Goblin” this April.  He just hit the nation’s eye in a way that can’t be ignored.  Groups like this are normally content to watch the limelight from the shadows.  But free online market space, a bang up performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and raw talent among all members guarantees 2011 will be all about OFWGKTA.

and here is the must watch late night performance ↓
